Sad news from the Tsongas campaign

Just received:

Early this morning Niki Tsongas learned that her beloved sister Suzanne Sauvage passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in New York.  Niki will be suspending her personal campaign activities until further notice.  Campaign Spokesperson Katie Elbert made the following statement today.

“All of us are very saddened to learn of the passing of Niki’s sister Suzy.  Our deepest sympathies are with Niki and her family during this difficult time.”

Our condolences to the Tsongas family.

  1. Niki clearly needs some time off.  But, Ogo won’t slow down, nor should he.  I hope that the Tsongas staff will continue working hard, and that they continue to pick up volunteers to work the ID, GOTV, etc.

I wanted to ask everyone to keep Niki and her family in their thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. I know how hard it is to lose a sibling unexpectedly and how painful it can be. This is a tough time for the Tsongas and Sauvage families and my heart goes out to them; especially Suzanne’s children.

    • it was classy until he made sure to reference his own brother.  you know, the guy whose death has been made a cornerstone of his campaign?  how low, trying to make political mileage out of not just your own sibling’s death, but the death of your opponent’s sibling.
