Today, George Bush vetoed the bi-partisan and successful Children’s Health Insurance Plan. He did so behind closed doors and shutout the media.
Bush casting his veto behind closed doors without any fanfare or news coverage.
Families USA just put out this ad.
The ad ends with:
“Don’t just get angry at the Bush veto”
“and get something done”
The people in MA-5 can get something done, every vote is important and you are in a unique position. Lets get something done.
Please share widely!

What Bush couldn’t find any uninsured children to stand with him as he signed the veto. It’s not like he hasn’t had elaborate veto signings.
then what is it about. Seriously, the program is a children’s health coverage program. Is it supposed to be called something else too? Who should they have used to speak up for this legislation? I don’t think there is anyone better than the people who are going to benefit from it. Just when I thought the Bush Administration could not possibly do anything more ridiculous, he vetoes legislation on a program that works and that helps kids.
Um? Like Um…..the people who are actually against Bush's veto.
Oh wait…..then again I guess the ad would be less effective if we had a bunch of suits arguing the merits of their position.
Never mind….Bring on the kids and the kleenex tissues.
