Kyoto in 1998 granted China and India exempt status in regards to carbon emissions(long before Big Al’s movie), and the gold rush of western led factory building commenced.

With these countries now demanding a greater percentage of the resources they must come from someplace, the western world that is.

The most fanatic of this global carbon tax movement would only be satisfied if you lived on a Amish farm. Yes, I am currently looking for one.

Let me say that one more time though, the global carbon TAX movement.

Did you enjoy the pictures? Who would have thunk that NOA would have hired Homer Simpson and Sons to put those things in …. DOHHHH!
I might point out the phenomena I call the deer in the headlights syndrome. Most won’t believe just as they won’t entertain the MIHOP version of 911.

It is kind of like they wanted a certain answer? Hey, the energy for all those shiny new Chinese factories has to come from somewhere don’t it.

Oh … dont tell me your into MIHOP?
I actualy subscribed to LIHOP theory for a while but even that melted away.
Basicaly, these days I have come to view government conspiracy theories as a group.
Many, if not all, conspiracy theories are correct when they point the finger at governmental agencies for some wrong. However these theories tend to feed on themselves, growing into sci-fi thrillers because they are allowed to do so in a vacumn of credible information.
Take this global warming thingee …
Rather than just admit that they have gathered bogus data and toss out the entire series and start again, the government will jump hoops to create some elaborate facade as a cover for their ideocy, knowing full well any rational person will just look at their published official account and exlaim disbelief.
The government just WILL NOT admit failure or incompetence in any matter.
As to 911, certainly the OFFICIAL story can be seen through by any 9 year old with a basic understanding of physics. But the government insists that it is the true and complete version, leaving people free to conjecture what they will and presto … look at the stories that pop up in the vacumn …
Sad thing is, the conspiracy stories are actualy more plausible than the official government versions …
Ah well …

If you had a scientific background–which I doubt you have–you would know that even an ignorant scientist would filter out anomolous behavior. It’s called “setting a baseline.”

Raj, have you ever worked for the government in any capacity? People do what they are told to do while all along hoping that the funding doesnt get cut. It has little to do with science or what you actualy know. My only experience with government contracts was living quite well for many years trying to construct a gas turbine that emited zero NOx .. no one beleived it could be built but everyone did what they could to maintain that little lingering doubt….

I haven’t directly. My spouse has. My father worked for a FedGov contractor. And I have worked for a FedGov contractor, as well.

And LIHOP melted away? If that is the case stop with the mainstream news, now, today, immediately. http://www.projectcensored.org
Even my crappy BS business degree and it’s associated globalization studies told me years ago the King of all cultural things in the entire western world has it’s roots in money above all other considerations.
