In the world of botany, when a plant pollinates itself, it's called “selfing”. (Pardon me if that sounds a bit like masturbation, but I didn't coin the term.) As you can see from my crude graphic, Romney is selfing with ever increasing vigor and magnitude. “Q” means quarter.

but the appellation has been floating around for a short while. that is, ever since willard miraculously turned his convictions on their head the day he decided to invest in a seat on the White House exchange (market symbol POTUS-PAL).

If he’s willing to spend a $100 million in a losing effort, at least we can be happy that he’ll have much, much less money for whatever future office he seeks. Methinks myth Romney might meet a much needed retirement.

$100 million could surely be put to good use in funding education [how many community college degrees] – oh well.

then-Governor Romney cut the line item, 0321-1510 by 20% in 2003 even though it was short by about 10 million before that.

Then, when like Oliver Twist with his gruel bowl, these same folk protested his vetoe of 20% of line item 0321-1510 standing before the State House with signs [the phrase “please sir, can I have more” Oliver used before Mr. Bumble smacked him repeatedly with his cane and chased him away]…

Our then-Governor stated that their then-$30 an hour court appointed work was mere “gravy” and they should be grateful for it, paid or not. I still remember the television coverage of that – the lacquered hair shaking, the spit visible against the kleig lights, Romney was so incensed.
<

Never mind that this rate was set in 1984 and had not been adjusted for inflation for about 20 years, or that the court-appointed attorney was paid the least of all of those in the court room!

Howie Carr considers being paid $900,000+ a year indentured servitude. Lets have Howie do court appointed legal work for a while, shall we?

Roads and bridge repair in lieu of 'dealing' with casino revenues? Or, donating to the United Way of Pioneer Valley [http://www.masslive….] to help children get up and out of poverty. The possibilities for Romney to turn his legacy into something positive are endless!
