Over the last two weeks Jim has received the endorsement of the Mass Alliance, the National Association of Social Workers, the Boston Teachers Union, and SEIU 1199 and 509. These groups join the United Auto Workers and the Sierra Club, who have already endorsed Jim. They all not only bring a great deal of resources to the table for our campaign over the next twenty-nine days – having literally thousands of members in the district – but they also are representative of the major issues facing the people in the 4th Middlesex.
From our public schools, to the working family agenda, to protecting our environment and reforming our broken health care system, all of these groups understand the challenges facing Arlington, Lexington, Billerica, Burlington, and Woburn. And they understand that we need a principled leader, one who has proven results in all of these fights, to move us forward.
Our campaign headquarters is open and busy every day of the week. Come visit us at 828 Mass Ave in Arlington! Our two campaign staffers, Megan Amundson and me, are hard at work, along with a few hundred volunteers who are coming in from across the 4th Middlesex District. But we could use your help!! We need people to help us place phone calls and talk to folks in the district about Jim’s candidacy and his record – and we only have twenty-nine days left! Please consider coming by to volunteer some time, or call Megan or me at 781-316-8302 to find out how you can help.
With Bob Peters’ decision to withdraw from the race, we have been picking up some significant momentum and support in Lexington and from what had been a previously divided progressive community. But in the last two weeks we have seen some incredible growth in both – if we can sustain this level of activity and momentum for the duration of this campaign we are certain Jim can win and keep this seat a progressive one!
Finally, if you are able, please consider visiting www.Marzilli.org and clicking on the link to make a donation to Jim’s campaign. With so little time in this special election, we need all the resources we can get to help get out Jim’s message. Thanks!

I know the office is wifi [my husband set up the wiring] and humming away. Jim has my support in this race. For one thing, when the supplemental budget passed and the long-suffering indigent advocates got paid [some unpaid for work for four to six months] he did not expect radiant thanks – but could humbly say “sorry it took so long.” Thanks for understanding! I am sure you will continue to be a voice saying “We can do better.”

For everyone who thinks all attorneys are rolling in money, well, not those who take court appointments to represent the indigent – that is a vocation.

Long suffering advocates are hopefully ABOUT to be paid. Hasn’t happened yet – the Supplemental Budget is on the governor’s desk.

Jim was campaigning this afternoon at the Kennedy School in Billerica this afternoon. He was getting some really positive responses from the people coming to the polls for the Tsongas-Ohno election.

Jim’s a great candidate, but it’s only four weeks to the primary and Jim needs your help. If you are a veteran of the Tsongas campaign, and you are heartbroken because it’s over, we need you in the Fourth Middlesex.
