They should have started Carmona today instead. Sabathia had a really high pitch count against NY and had to come out after 5, so it is not surprising to see him get in trouble against Boston. Now Cleveland has to dip into their pen early and depending on what happens the rest of tonight could have a depleted bullpen tomorrow. Assuming that Carmona would have lasted longer, then if Sabathia had gotten into trouble in the 2nd game, at least the bullpen would get a day off for travel.

Does Francona yank Beckett earlier tonight than he might otherwise to be able to pitch him again sooner in this series?

the trees outside of my window have formed a wall of color. Yellow, light green, dark green, crimson, purple. The bark is everything from blackish to light gray. It seems that the upper and outer leaves have turned first on the maples, giving the view more depth than usual under the green regime.
When Gagne (who I confess is sometimes called Gagme around our house) went in, but, no, of course I kept the game on and watched the whole pathetic unravelling.

I’m with you on this one, Ms. P; I wore my Pats cap, not my Red Sox hat, to the Making Strides walk this morning.

for RBIs via walks in a single game? Manny’s got two tonight, and we’re only in the 6th.

Wouldn’t want him nice and fresh and ready for that 6-6 tied game in the eight, where he’ll give up the three run homer after five pitches. đŸ˜€

And Dallas is a GOOD team!

I’ve already seen columns that say that the Cowboys weren’t really that good. The haters will keep denying.

On the other hand, strange feeling to be actually worried about a game at halftime. Next week is going to be boring as dirt.
