I just got a DVR with HD channels. I get all the HD channels with this even without an HD TV. They promised that channel 831 would be TBSHD. No such luck. Where is the HD broadcast.

We had an activist conference for the MassGOP this weekend. Nobody seemed to know about OpenMass as a way to do oppo research on votes and bills. I showed it to the attendees. They were pretty amazed. Again a great job.

Every time a Red Sox runner was put in motion they were shocked. For a second. Then they seemed to remember that this team does run more than past Red Sox teams. And then they repeated the same stat. Maybe they didn’t remember. Maybe they got a reminder in the ear piece.

And would it be too much to ask that when they say Jacoby Ellsbury’s name sound like they’ve seen it before? “Ja…co…by. Ells berry?”

BTW: Morgan is on espn. Fox uses Joe Buck and Tim McCarver.

Sorry to rant. It’d be worse if my wife posted her opinion, believe me.

I didn’t see Travaligni catch the ball, kids were still in need of attention at that point. I just heard the call. I’m sure the Herald will investigate where he got the tickets and make sure he pays taxes on the value of the ball. (IRS told the guy who caught Bond’s ball he was liable for taxes on the potential value of the ball. Guy had to sell the ball because he couldn’t swing the taxes)

Funny, I was in the LF Grandstands and was too busy high fiving to notice who caught the ball. Way to go, Bob. Joe D. would be proud of you — :).

Tartuufe is revealed as a hypocrite and arrested, meanwhile the King comes by and returns the family’s property.
She pulls in the endorsement of the reformist-minded American Teachers’ Federation, the smaller of the two teachers unions today. Their membership of 1.4 million includes the teachers of Boston Public Schools (the older NEA has 3.2 million members).

I don’t think this has a big impact on the unfolding of the race for two reasons: state chapters (such as NH and IA) may go in a different direction, and anyway teachers are not particularly politically loyal to their unions.
<

However, this is quite a statement in early October for a candidate who has invested less in talking about education — and less along the preferred lines of unions — than the other three notables. Given that their platforms don’t match ideally, one spin of the endorsement is that a notable player in Democratic politics thinks that Hillary has the nomination, and will get in as early as they can. While I don’t like her as a candidate right now, I certainly admire her.
Crikey, a lot going on. The Washington Post reports that New Mexico Senator Pete Domenicei (R) is going to retire tomorrow. That makes 4 GOP retirements in the Senate.

Yes the ABC poll had Hillary up like 50/20/12 over Obama and Edwards in a national poll and she up at least 20 points in NH.
<
p>
But Obama is leading in the latest Iowa poll (ok, more like first in a three way statisical dead heat.) If Obamam wins Iowa, Hillary’s key asset–inevitablity–is gone. She can probably still win NH, but with a much closer margin (assuming Edwards collapses if he comes in 3rd in Iowa and weak Hillary voters leave her.)
<
p>
Then Obama and her have an open field–both with lots of money. I don’t care what the polls say, Obama will get the black vote and make the southern and states with urban cities very interesting.
<

Hey, I’m just trying to make the Dem race as unpredictable as the Rep race.
With all these candidates, I’m surprised the race has keeled this evenly. But her polls are going up for heaven’s sake. After running for president for 7 years, she’s attracting new followers! I find that incredible.
<
p>
As to Iowa, two of the last 35 polls have shown Obama leading. If there’s a tie, I’d expect more than that. Furthermore, for a variety of reasons, young people simply don’t have an impact in Iowa caucuses — the caucus process devalues that vote.
Not in the Larry Craig sense … I mean he’s got a one-hitter through 6. Nice.

If you looked closely, you’d notice Beckett also can have a very wide stance.

It’s great to see Beckett come off his last start to pitch such a near-perfect game.

Could you put together OpenJim, a website that greatly simplifies the process of tracking down the planks of Ogonowski’s platform?
OpenJim sounds like a NSFW site.
Maybe if you had a link to openmass on your site more might know đŸ˜‰
it’s Patrick’s site. I just help him. He controls all meta content like links and such.
I’m sure you’ll have your hands full. Good luck moving one pile of rocks to another.
Where was this held? Did you need more than two tables at the coffee shop?
…I can’t THINK why…
We had 30 – 40 people from the Merrimack Valley who learned activist basics.
Your kidding, right? I miss all the good stuff.

Had Remy and Orsillo been calling the game instead of TBS, there would have been about two innings of commentary and jokes about it.
