So what’s happening at the Burma NewsLadder now? Well, interestingly enough, people are still posting, and still visiting from both here and Burma. However, the source articles and links have pretty much all changed. A few weeks ago, there were New York Times articles and LA Times articles, now all of the news is coming from overseas sources.
From Irish and English newspapers. From Australia and Thailand and from bloggers and folks inside Burma. You see it’s not the media that has abandoned Burma, it’s our media.
And they have no excuse because our site traffic and the level of interest in Burma shows there is a market for news about the country and the situation there. If our media won’t satisfy that market, it will be my pleasure, my great pleasure, to do so.
