Yesterday I had brunch in the South End, and when I walked in I immediately noticed a young man in line who was wearing a Hillary Clinton pin. His friends noticed my Kucinich pin as well, and one said “oh, a debate, it’s the establishment verses the wackado.” Well he had the estblishment part right, both about Hillary and his J-Crewed out friend group. But why is it that the establishment politicians and the mainstream media have no more intelligent comeback to Dennis Kucinich but to call him a freak, “wackado,” UFO lover, and ban him from debates? It is because he is the one candidate brave enough to have spoken the truth about the war, healthcare, lgbt rights, and the major influence of corporations.
Now that Dennis has withdrawn from the race to fight for his congressional seat, there is not one presidential candidate left who shares the views of the vast majority of progressives – who time and time again get Kucinich when they take those little quizes to see who your candidate should be.
I might vote for Obama, but I do not think it will make any difference. I certainly do not buy into his replica of the Patrick campaign. I’m contemplating voting for Cynthia McKinney or Mike Gravel at this point.
I hope Mr. Harvard J-Crew wakes up one day to realize that wars based on lies are wack. Race baiting is wack. Being ont he board of Wal-mart is wack. Taking the most money from BIG Pharma is wack.
