Kucinich is Gone from the race

January 25, 2008 By farnkoff

I was saddened to see this which I knew was inevitable but which I had hoped could have been postponed longer.

I’m not sure how MSNBC was able to squirm out of a court injunction that would have allowed Kucinich in the Nevada debate a week or so ago.

In any event, I love this man for his anti-war, impeach Cheney, pro-gay marriage bravery, and hope he continues to serve in Congress and as an important gadfly on the American political scene.

Good luck, Dennis. May the Force be with You.

convinced him that if he spent too much time tilting at windmills he wouldn’t have a La Mancha to go back to.

“I promise to be docile and cooperative!”
      (applause)
“I will get some pork for every pot in the district!”
      (cheers, whistles)
“I am a true Patriot, and will steadfastly support any act that appears to be named after New England’s professional football team!”
      (scattered applause)
      “Hey Iran, BRING IT ON!!!”
(crowd whipped into a bloodthirsty frenzy)

Yes we are going to end up with another mainstreamer, it’s just like watching Faux News.

I have a lot of respect for Kucinich and his unabashed progressive stances on just about all the issues.  However, I think it would have done him a lot of good to not have run again for the presidency.  I think it was obvious in 2004 that he would never garner enough support to win the nomination.  But, of course, he had every right to do so.

p>I hope he is re-elected the House, continues to rise in seniority, and stays an active and effective member of the Progressive Caucus.

The only candidate left in the race that voted against the Iraq War is Ron Paul.  Something to keep in mind.
