MLEV Cites Thielman’s Strong Commitment to Combating Global Warming and Reducing Toxic Chemicals
Boston, MA– The Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters (MLEV), the non-partisan political voice for the environment, announced its endorsement of Jeff Thielman for the 23rd Middlesex House race today, citing his strong commitment to environmental issues that affect both the commonwealth and Arlington and West Medford.
“MLEV is proud to endorse Jeff Thielman, a public servant who understands the need to safeguard the health of our communities,” said MLEV Executive Director Lora Wondolowski. “We need more environmental champions on Beacon Hill and Jeff would be a real leader on these critical issues.”
In his MLEV questionnaire, Mr. Thielman cited reducing greenhouse gas emissions, creating strong energy policy, and reducing toxics from discarded electronic equipment as his top environmental priorities. Mr. Thielman is committed to working with other legislators to ensure that the environment is a higher priority in the legislature.
“I am delighted to have received the endorsement of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters. In the absence of federal leadership, state governments have a crucial role to play in addressing climate change. I also look forward to working hard on local environmental issues, especially flooding issues,” said Thielman.
