MLEV Cites Clark’s Strong Commitment to Curbing Global Warming and Reducing Sprawl
Boston, MA– The Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters (MLEV), the non-partisan political voice for the environment, announced its endorsement of Katherine Clark for the 32nd Middlesex House race today, citing her strong commitment to environmental issues that affect both the commonwealth and Melrose and Wakefield.
“MLEV is proud to endorse Katherine Clark, someone who understands the need to leave our children a healthy world,” said MLEV Executive Director Lora Wondolowski. “We need more environmental champions on Beacon Hill and Katherine’s expertise and commitment will make her a real leader on these critical issues.”
Ms. Clark has extensive experience working on environmental issues, including efforts to clean up brownfields, while working for Attorney General Martha Coakley and working with the Massachusetts congressional delegation to reduce global warming. In her MLEV questionnaire, Ms. Clark cited reducing traffic and sprawl and developing renewable energy as her top environmental priorities.
“I am delighted to have received the endorsement of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters. In the absence of federal leadership, state governments have a very important role to play on global warming. I also look forward to working hard on local environmental issues, especially traffic and sprawl,” said Clark.
