If you work with children, the cognitively limited, the mentally ill, etc. and they receive legal services, whether court appointed, guardians, etc. these guidelines, and which version is adopted will have a major impact in their lives.
In general, the “grunts on the ground” are under represented in both drafting and commenting. I was contacted by the SJC directly and sent these, as I had commented on the prior, with drawn draft. I do anticipate commenting again, at least in those areas where I have experience “on the ground” in this area of law.
