This really shows the shortsighted thinking that would elect to bring this sort of industry to the state simply to shore up their budgets. Especially when there is no evidence that the net economic effect of a casino is positive.

too long. Shorten it to 60 seconds absolute max and it’ll be extremely powerful.

but agree it could be a little shorter. The last part is the strongest.
I’d put pink bunny ears on it if I could get it some play.

Thank you for your brillance and talent. I laughed and cried and shared the link with many. It burned my a$$ to see the MTA casino endorsement. It’s all politics and little vision at that level. Sad part is, what did the MTA get in return? Some promise for more funding? Wait til they get a sniff of the force that’s brewing to whack them into GIC. Those 90/10 health insurance plans will be history. Shame on the MTA exec. board. My educator colleagues woring in the classroom don’t support the proposal. Where will the MTA be when the communities abutting a casino are swamped with new enrollees and the pitiful mitigation formula doesn’t cut it? We can expect to create dozens more struggling underfunded school districts with that one!
You must be happy all those demeaning manufacturing jobs are gone. And what a relief it will be when the fishing stocks collapse for good, so we won’t have to see our young kids go into fishing. Do you have any idea how “those people” smell?

p>I suspect you’ll protest the next proposal for a full service gas station. And you must not make eye contact when going through the checkout line at the grocery store. I hope they’ve got those self-checkout registers where you are!

p>And boy, how you must love automated answering systems for businesses. How tragic it was for all those years to have people just answering calls that weren’t even meant for them!

Actually, I’ve held a lot of the types of jobs you seem to think I find demeaning. I don’t. However, we don’t currently have casino jobs in this state and I don’t believe we should. It’s an industry that succeeds only when other’s lose. It creates addiction. It hurts families. It’s an industry incongruous with the character of our State. And the same goes for the MTA. Teacher’s should inspire. And of course they hope that their students find gainful employment, but gained at whose expense?

p>And as far as typos – you should have seen the first 3 drafts.
