The former trial lawyer arguably won a majority of the debates, time and again challenging his opponents to refuse money from lobbyists and speed up their plans for withdrawing combat troops from Iraq.

He was running against Yesterday’s Phenomenon, Hillary and Today’s Phenomenon, Barack. John was a great candidate but not a rock star.

What did the media want, a soap opera? No coverage was given to Edwards or Biden, etc.

That’s exactly what the media wants.

p>It’s a nice little fiction we have, that the MSM is there to provide us with news and information… but it’s really there to make money. And sensation — “soap opera” — is what sells. A sober look at the reality of this country isn’t gonna be so popular.

p>So they focus on the former (to make money) instead of the latter. And so it goes.
