Hey everyone. As many of you know, my name is Lori Ehrlich and I’m running for the 8th Essex State Rep seat in Marblehead, Swampscott, and part of Lynn. I’ve been a practicing CPA for over 20 years, environmental activist, blogger, wife and mother and I’m looking to kick all of this work and life experience up a notch in the legislature. I also recently (2005) earned a Masters in Public Administration from The Kennedy School of Government. We’ve done an amazing amount of grassroots constituency building over the last few months so now that we’re in the homestretch our organizational efforts are really bearing fruit. But with primary day only three days away, fruit’s great but it isn’t quite enough — WE WANT YOUR BODY!
If anyone’s in the area and can volunteer a few hours on election day (whether that’s going door to door to GOTV, or holding a sign), or can telecommute and take an emailed phone list for election day, that would be fantastic. If you’re able and willing to help make this grassroots campaign – that’s built on all of our shared values – successful, join us!
Thanks and ONWARD!!
Lori

Between all of our poll checkers, runners and the like, we could definitely use the help! There’s a lot of jobs to go around, so don’t be shy about volunteering. One of the unfortunate side effects of having a government with an emphasis on civics and grassroots is that we all have our part to play to, as the venerable Tim Gunn would say, “make it work.”

…we have a hot race here in Arlington & West Medford for the 23rd Middlesex, and am needed here. Sean Garballey is a fine young man, and some of the tactics by his opposition [and I don’t blame the other candidates, mind you, but some of the supporters of the other candidates have done things I find distasteful] are “so over the top” that I am fully committed on primary day and any other time I can free up on Sean Garballey’s behalf.

It’s beautiful this time of year. Deb, check out Lori’s wonderful website and the stunning photos.

…I would much rather be represented by Sean Garballey, so here working for my candidate of choice is where I belong. Nice try, as they say.

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck in your race. Although I can’t really help (school, family, work – not necessarily in that order) I do want you to know that I have the utmost respect for your willingness to take on this race and put yourself out there.
