    1. Obama has a real opportunity to unite the country – I don’t think anything will be settled this Tuesday, as he and Clinton will likely split the delegate count, but it sure is exciting!

        LOS ANGELES (CNN) – Maria Shriver will endorse Democrat Barack Obama’s White House bid today at a Los Angeles rally.

        p>The California First Lady will make a surprise appearance on-stage at the Sunday event, backed by the candidate’s wife Michelle Obama, talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Shriver’s cousin Caroline Kennedy

      Why is there no post here about Obama and his nuclear legislation in Illinois? Radioactive runoff was showing up the groundwater when Obama was a freshman senator in Illinois. Publicly, Obama made some pretty nice speeches about how he was going to unite us and clean up the problem. But in the end, Obama took 227,000 dollars in campaign contributions from executives at Exelon, the country’s largest nuclear plant operator. He also received contributions from nuclear power industry lobbyists. His chief political adviser David Axelrod worked as a consultant to Exelon. Obama re-wrote an initial bill to change mandatory regulation of the nuclear power plants to voluntary, essentially trusting the very same corporate executives who ran the plants to decide for themselves if they were endangering the local population. Guess what they decided? For all the Obama supporters out there, you should seriously consider what happened in Illinois before you vote. We’ve seen Obama talk pretty about special interests and lobbyists before but we also know what happens in the end.
