Lately it has seemed like the media view Dick as a sort of metaphysically evil and supernaturally powerful being, beyond the scope of political, legal, or moral reproach, and the Bush Administration in general as a dark and destructive force of nature that must be passively suffered until it finally passes. Naturally, the phone calls were not returned, but at least she tried.
