The Arlington Town Democratic Committee meetings are always published in the Advocate, and at the Arlington Town Democratic Committee’s Website [where the minutes are also available publicly] – see http://www.arlingtondems.org/
The Democratic Party welcomes each and every one of you to attend the Town Committee, and I hope you will. This presidential election will be hard fought – and all of our efforts will be needed to take back the White House. It can be done!! In Massachusetts, we now have a Democratic Governor because of the optimism and hard work of citizens just like you and I.
PS: I do plan to submit letters thanking the voters in Lexington, Woburn, Burlington and Billerica who voted for me as well. I do not have the “counts” for those towns as yet but plan to attend the Democratic Committee meetings in each of them as often as I can.
14,873 democratic ballots were issued in Arlington, according to the Town Clerk – ALL the candidates are to be congratulated in encouraging this level of participation. Thanks to Sean Garballey – for a strong grassroots campaign, for Jeff Thielman’s willingness to serve and gracious concession, and for newcomer Andrew O’Brien whom I hope will participate in the Town Committee and the governance of the town going forward.
Please feel free to attend the Town Democratic Meetings – and to contact me. I went from an unenrolled voter to a Democrat in 2003 – and feel that I have been richly rewarded by being able to contribute to causes and issues that matter.
I suggest each and every one of the readers of this Blog familiarize themselves with their local Democratic Committees – and become involved. Going forward, there is a great deal of work to do – and it will take all of us to do that work and put a Democrat in the White House.

p>Now maybe you can tell us all about the secret handshake and decoder ring. (just kidding) Actually, maybe your no nonsense brand of politics will be what they need to keep their feet on the ground.
I’m teaching her the secret handshake on Sunday! She’s in good hands.
I plan on sending Letters to the Editor to the Lexington Minuteman [etc] once I have the number of votes and certification. I could get Arlington’s numbers and certainty by going to the Registrar of Voters here in town, but do not have the time right now to go to the registrar of each of the other towns I will be representing. A Lexington voter was kind enough to tell me I received 3500 votes there. I don’t know as to Woburn, Billerica, or Burlington yet. I also will be attending the Democratic Town Committees in each town, and would love to hear from anyone on those Democratic Town committees who happen to read this post.
