I consider myself a member of the BMG blogging community. I haven’t posted much recently, but I began posting here in March of 2005 when many folks hadn’t yet heard of BMG. It was a result of one of the founders (thanks Charlie!)who at the time was a member of my ward committee, encouraging us to write for the fledgling blog. At the time, we had no idea that BMG would become the preeminent progressive political blog in the Commonwealth — we indeed have come a long way baby! Congratulations BMG!
But hey — I digress.
I’m running in a rather competitive category though this time around many categories are competitive. This is a testament to the fact that so many folks want to participate, which is really an encouraging development. I would appreciate the support of any voting members of the DSC who are posters, commenters and even just readers of BMG.
I have served on the board of the Bay State Stonewall Democrats (GLBT democrats)for four years and would very much like a chance to represent the interests of GLBT folk and other Democrats in my district by serving in one of the lesbian seats.
If elected I pledge to make every meeting of the state committee if it is humanly possible (I really mean this, though I may live to regret it!) and to bring energy, passion and commitment to the work of the committee.
Now for the ask. If you are a voting member of the Democratic State Committee and you will be present at the meeting tomorrow I would be greatly honored to receive your vote!
Democratically speaking,
Linda Sophia Pinti
