Hillary Clinton makes it clear that she would not approve of John McCain as president, whether it be over Barack or over herself in November. This is a very good thing, in my opinion, because there may have been a little unintentional ambiguity. Her outright endorsement of Barack in the general (barring any change in the anticipated Democratic nomination) could be crucial.

Hillary Clinton is training her fire squarely on McCain, and she can fire from an angle that is harder for him to defend. Meanwhile, she’s running the full race, and giving all Americans a chance to cast a meaningful vote for a woman running for president.

I’ve felt since Indiana and North Carolina that she shouldn’t drop out, even though I am an Obama supporter. We’ve come this far, might as well play out the string. I think that if between now and June 3rd, while she is campaigning in a place such as Kentucky, she focused all of her fire on McCain, it would to a)weakening McCain even further for the general, and b) let her supporters know that while they may not have supported Barack Obama in the primary process, he would be a substantially better president than John McCain.
