DA Says Green Line train operator was not on cellphone prior to accident
Ms. Edmonds was only 24 years old. That seems to be very young to be operating a train. Many industries where heavy equipment is used have apprenticeship programs where it would be several years before an operator is ready to use complicated equipment, especially when public safety is at stake.
