I had a spot on the bleachers behind the podium, stage left. The two of them had quite the mutual admiration society going! I’m now even more convinced than previously that they would make a great ticket. I just wish there were a way that the crowd didn’t have to wait so long at each stage, especially for the buses returning to the parking lots.

In the short clip on the “news” the cameraman made the mistake of including a brief shot of the entire area. This put a true persepctive on “the crowd” in attendance.
Was it sparse attendance.

…is only in the eye of the beholder. Is it baggage to have fought for universal health care? Is it baggage to have been married to one of the most successful AND most popular Presidents in recent history? Is it baggage to have the kind of enemies she has? I would point to all of these things as sources of pride. For any Democrat to say she has too much baggage is to me a surrender to the vast right wing conspiracy. Remember, when she was still a candidate herself, she was doing better against McCain than Obama was. As for the fresh face argument, that’s the part that Obama himself brings to the ticket. Two fresh faces will only make the inexperience argument stronger from the other side than it already is.

Hanging out in a small northern NH town is a nice day trip. I wanted to go but couldnt get it together in time and the bus transport sounded like a hassle. I heard lots of commentators on radio ridiculing the Unity concept as contrived, but I think it is very well done –just hoping they can keep it up. As far as Hillary for VP–I’m not qute there myself. I like the way Biden is chewing up and spitting out Repubs on talking head shows. (of course Hillary could do the same).
On February 8, in Unity, New Hampshire, 107 people voted for me, and 107 people voted for Senator Barack Obama.
Today, Barack and I were in Unity to celebrate a unified Democratic Party focused on electing him the next president. I was proud to stand with him today, and I will do whatever I can to help his campaign between now and November.
Senator McCain and the Republicans may have hoped that we wouldn’t join forces like this. They may have wished that we wouldn’t stand united to fight this battle with everything we’ve got.
But I’ve got news for them: We are one party; we are one America; and we are not going to rest until we take back our country and put it once again on the path to peace, prosperity, and progress in the 21st century.
