Plymouth, Mass, “America’s Hometown,” will be holding it’s annual Fourth of July Parade this Friday starting at 9:30 am. Massachusetts State Senate President and Plymouth resident Therese Murray is the Grand Marshall for 2008.
Senator John Kerry will be marching in this historic parade this Friday. Anyone who would like to help out or march with the Senator is welcome to participate. Volunteers will be meeting at Cordage Park Marketplace on Court St in North Plymouth at 8 am. We will be providing breakfast and t-shirts for volunteers.

Make sure that Kerry picks up his map of Massachusetts at Logan, so he can find the parade. Oh, he must be cursing Ed O’Reilly with every breath…having to march with the plebs on the Fourth!
Although I’m sure Kerry can find the Cape alright. I’m less sure that he can find Somerville, Malden, Revere or the like.
Actually, believe it or not, Kerry came to Somerville – Even East Somerville- a while back to preach to us commoners. I did go along for the Scallops and Bacon which were very good indeed!

I actually let her cut in front of me when I was rushing into the parking lot at the First Baptist Church in Plymouth for Rev Peter Gomes’ 40th anniversary of ordination–so you know I respect her. But what could I do, her license plate reads # 2…

p>You’ll get a kick out of this one PP, it was a small gathering though the church was full and everyone who was anyone got up to speak for Peter Gomes. Governor Patrick came after the chairman of the Plymouth Selectmen. When the selectman introduced Deval, he introduced him as “Governor Dukakis.” Everyone was in tears laughing. Deval handled it well and thanked the gathering on behalf of himself and his “wife, Kitty.”
