Great convention. Powerful speech. Now what?
Should Obama hide out during the RNC? Take a whistlestop train ride across the heartland? Visit the troops overseas? Unleash the first volley of the TV air war?
What should his plan be for the next week? Sketch some benchmark scenarios and we’ll compare them to what the campaign actually does.

Obama and Biden should get on a bus and hit the hard-hit hustings, traveling across the Midwest before hanging a right and heading down through Texarkana.
<
p>Every day should highlight the challenges facing Americans, and their sacrifices, as a result of eight years of Republican looting, to provide the context for the RNC’s party in Minneapolis.
<
p>The tour should end the day of McCain’s acceptance speech in New Orleans, with a challenge to join Obama in the Delta to redress the failures of the Bush administration and support the efforts of local watchdogs and rebuilders.
<
p>Obama can reissue the challenge throughout the campaign.

…is for Obama and Biden to take a bus tour through MI, OH, and PA next week.

I know ther plan is for him and Biden to get on a bus in OH and PA.
<
p>But I think that will change. My prediction is they’ll both be in the Gulf Coast by Wednesday helping with clean-up efforts.
<
p>Obama should be down there already saving kittens from the coming floods. đŸ˜‰
<
p>Seriously, though, my money is on them at least going down before McCain shows up there early next week.
