Well, I’m here in Denver and having a great time. As Jamie reported, we went canvassing on Saturday. It’s always interesting talking to voters and hearing what they think. I was very encouraged about the positive response for both Mark Udall and Barack Obama. Other than the fact that one of the addresses was a bar that I thought it prudent to skip, it was uneventful. Lots of good conversations. The voters who mentioned it were pleased with the choice of Joe Biden.
My flight out was great. The only problem I had was that the shuttle took me to the wrong Renaissance Hotel. I have to admit that if I ask to go to the Renaissance and they don’t ask me what city, I would think they would take me to the Renaissance in Denver. I ended up quite a bit out of town.
I was interviewed by Channel 7 this AM. They think it might air tonight.
I’m surprised you didn’t go into the bar – I’ve seen you working a room before, I’m sure you would have done fine!
It is appropriate that you started off with a report on canvassing for the party prior to the convention. This campaign is going to take a lot of hard work from all of us.
<
p>I’m confident that you would have done fine in any venue at getting the party’s message across. Our opponent and the Republicans have a suductive message that we must counter!
<
p>Democrats united are so strong when we are unified. The convention is going to say so much about our party and our platform.
<
p>We are a party of the people, for the people, and by the people. By sending the message with our delegates, we are all participating in Denver!
<
p>Thanks, your reports will keep us up-to-date and provide valuable insight (behind the scenes).
<
p>Yes we can!
<
p>Together we are unstoppable!

Kate,
Good to find you in the airways… I agree that next time you should go into the bar – remember we’re a big tent!
Keep ’em coming – its a bit like being there. We are all excited about the news of Ted coming. Have you had a chance to see the demonstrators or the free speech zone?
