Ken Donnelly has racked up a wide-ranging and varied set of endorsements from supporters. See: http://donnellyforsenate.com/
His endorsements come from all over the district, and from several wings of the Democratic Party – in fact from folk who supported different candidates in recent races. Ken Donnelly is a transformational candidate who knows how to lead and to bring people together.
Also, there are several new position papers worth reading.

Donnelly has Burlington locked up. No sign of any other campaign in town.

I think that statement is a bit of an exaggeration, there are Hurd sign out around Burlington. He’s got a real shot at winning the city.
burlington-maul says
There are a few Hurd signs in my neighborhood, but they are on rental properties or vacant homes for sale. Signs don’t vote, especially when the signs are planted by the local real estate industry.

Why is it that the few comments supporting Hurd are from people who are brand new to this forum? I am still looking for a Hurd post from a BMG member with an ID number less than 4400.

p>Jack Hurd. No grass roots. Just grubs.

I endorse Jack Hurd. My id number is 2040.
<
p>Jack’s site lists several hundred citizens who endorse him. They are residents and voters in each of the communities he seeks to represent.
<
p>Donnelly’s site lists 19 unions and a few dozen people.
<
p>That ratio is echoed in the OCPF’s filing statements. Jack Hurd gets his donations from in district. They’re all $500 or less. Donnelly gets his money from unions, most of them from out of state, including a $16,000 donation from the firefighter’s union.
<
p>People who play games on astroturf fields shouldn’t throw stones, or something like that.
<
p>Now, let’s get over the pissing contests and talk about the issues, shall we?

Isn’t it odd that someone running for State Senate does not have any major endorsements? I know that Donnelly can raise a lot of money from his firefighting friends across the country (wish i could). But i think that even someone like jack hurd who will be limited in the amount of money he can raise (he has said he has not spent much time out of arlington) should be able to get one or two major endorsements. Am I wrong? Donnelly did not even get all the union endorsements the last time!

‘course, I suppose it depends on what you mean by “major”…LOL to that.
