The man’s considered a formidable writer. I don’t suppose I’ll read his book, but I do wonder about the propensity for good, rational people to refrain from speaking out against injustice, hate and prejudice.
Is fear that strong in people that they just can’t stand differences and must destroy that which they hate/fear? Anyone want to posit on the retreat from truth and goodness by citizens in our communities, state, nation, globe?
