Get Involved in the Campaign
If you will be in town on Labor Day, my campaign would love for you to march with us at the Marlborough Labor Day Parade. A strong presence from the Eldridge campaign will have a big impact as this is one of the largest community events in the district. We will be gathering in Marlborough between 11am and noon on Labor Day (Monday, September 1st), and the parade will run from noon to around 1:30pm. If you can join us, e-mail my campaign at volunteer@JamieEldridge.com or call the campaign headquarters at 978-929-2975 and we’ll have additional details for you. Also, we’re phone banking from the HQ several nights a week and canvassing across the district every weekend. If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to the campaign, e-mail us at volunteer@JamieEldridge.com or call the campaign HQ at 978-929-2975. My campaign office is located right by the South Acton train station on the Fitchburg commuter rail, so volunteers from Boston and Cambridge can easily take the train out to volunteer.
It is very important that we don’t take the Middlesex & Worcester Senate seat for granted. While the district is now represented by State Senator Pam Resor and previously by former State Senator Bob Durand, it was also once represented by former Republican Governor Paul Cellucci. The Middlesex & Worcester Senate District is one of only two State Senate seats out of 40 to feature an open seat race with a Republican challenger. So this race will clearly be targeted by Republicans. If you are able to volunteer on the campaign or make a financial contribution, that would also be greatly appreciated and make a big difference.
The Democratic National Convention
Although I have been focused primarily on my campaign for State Senate, I am excited to be headed out to the Democratic National Convention for next week.
I’m proud to be attending the Democratic National Convention in Denver as a delegate for our next President, Barack Obama. I am looking forward to attending the convention, and meeting dedicated Democratic activists and officeholders from across the country. In fact, I have already committed to going door to door in Colorado for Barack Obama, this Saturday, August 23rd.
As always, continue to be in touch and share your input. I can’t thank you enough for your support in the past, and I hope I can count on you again this fall in support of my campaign for State Senate.

Any BMGers or any members of the Mass Delegation are welcome to join us on the Saturday canvass. In order to enusre that we have enough packets and drivers, we need to have RSVPs. We’ll be meeting at the Rennaissance at 3:00 PM. That assumes no flight delays. RSVP at 508-404-8531.

Don’t we have enough Democrats serving (screwing up) the state. I state this with all sincerity.

…why don’t you run for office? If you think you can do a better job, have at it – in the meantime, I’ll continue to support awesome progressive leaders like Mr. Eldridge, and I’ll continue to laugh at you and your ilk.

it would be better if you stayed home and campaigned? The primary is fast approaching. This is critical campaign time and you are leaving th state. Your supporters/workers must not like that.

p>How about a little sacrifice for the campaign Jamie? Obama will get by without you I am sure.

p>But then, this will be like being at Woodstock for you self rightous far lefties. Twenty years from now you can say, “Yeah, I was in Denver for Barack.”

The only election that matters in the senate district is the general in November. Jamie’s the only Democrat running.

Denver = Woodstock. I bet if you ask everyone there, each one over 50 will swear he or she was actually at Woodstock.
