Hi All:
The big thing around my neighborhood of Roslindale lately is the development of the old Ashmont Discount into a new Staples. The construction has been going on for three months, constricting traffic around the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street constantly. When completed, it will use a great deal of electricity. ( e.g. Copying, flourescent lighting, air conditioning etc. )
I would like to know why there was no call from the Mayor or any of the elected officials who represent this neighborhood to have them install solar panels on the new massive roof? Just curious.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sincerely,
Wayne Wilson

your mayor and elected officials this question?

Hi:
<
p>After multiple years of being involved as a Democratic Party activist, it appears that none of them care what I have to say. So to answer your question, no I have not.

Why should the mayor or anyone else tell a private company to install solar panels?

Hi:
<
p>I think that they should at least suggest it, as they claim that they support green development. Just saying that you as an elected official support something usually does not translate to action in the neighborhoods you claim to represent. I did not say that they should be made to do so, but as the store in question will use massive amounts of electricity it just might make economic sense.
