Laurel:
Pigs for Palin (4.00 / 3)
I’m going to enjoy watching repub men salivate over Palin, thereby driving the women in their lives far, far away from her. Keep talkin, gary! Pigs for Palin! Women all love to vote for women who their men want to cheat on them with!
(ed. note: Laurel you are obviously a piece of shit)
<
p>and just to make sure this wasn’t some out of context anomaly:

and a nice Laurel link-in:
he’s going for the unaffiliated penis vote (4.00 / 1)
seriously. they’ll make this look like pro-women thing, but he didn’t pick a woman with wrinkles or flab, he picked a looker. that translates in the 14 yr old male mind (which resides in the brain of most?/many?/all? men) as a dick licker. it is one of the first and certainly among the most frequent comments on the boards. well good luck with that, johnnie,, because for every woody palin gives a pig, she drives the woman in that pig’s life away from the polls. perfect pick by a limp dick!

Cheap because its stoking “white guilt” (0.00 / 0)
and/or playing around with race in a way that will favor the black guy.
And irrelevant to Obama’s speech.
“I know, lets exploit a tragedy at a time like this… ” why?
<
p>As for your “substitute for facts” link, hey, I postulated that Cheney enjoys it every time they stop a terrorist attack with warrantless wiretapping and you flipped completely out saying that I have no evidence of this. (Nor do you have any to the contrary of course). I guess the subtleties of “classified” information are lost on you, and until the NYT decides to leak some more classified material we’re all out of luck on that score. However, if you really want the opinion of a third party to help out with your assessment here, lets see umm.. who can we tap.. how bout Barack?
“Given the legitimate threats we face, providing effective intelligence collection tools with appropriate safeguards is too important to delay. So I support the compromise, but do so with a firm pledge that as president, I will carefully monitor the program,” Obama said in a statement hours after the House approved the legislation 293-129.
<
p>Well, I guess your guy thinks its useful, anyway. I wonder why? At least he will monitor it carefully when he is president.
<
p>As for your post hoc reach, sorry that you feel that the lack of terrorist attacks in the US since 9/11 is unrelated to anything that the administration may have done to prevent them. I think you’ll find alot of sympathy for that position on the left, but it doesn’t really seem very rational to me.

Never has a comment been so long yet so short on actual substance. And keep trying that “I have no facts, but you can’t prove me wrong” approach; eventually it might work.

What comments were sexist? Specifically?
<
p>I think the closest any of Demolisher’s quotations get to being sexist are the ones pointing out that Palin is a “hottie”. Some RMGers confirm this as apparently did McCain’s wandering eyes. For an ex-Miss Alaska contestant, “hottie” — or at least “former hottie” — will be an intentional part of her resume. Certainly, this is something that must be handled with delicacy: many “hotties” are competent, intelligent, hard-working people deserving of more than merely visual respect. All “hotties” are people who are more than their looks.
<
p>Given that Palin is so glaringly unqualified to be President, it is reasonable to speculate what other qualities of hers got her on the ticket.
The maverick story is undermined by the back story to the bridge to no where story.
The reformer story is undermined by the ex-brother-in-law story.
The Republican emphasis on national security is undermined by her announced disinterest in foreign policy.
There’s even evidence that McCain sent no one to Alaska to vet her. His contact with her has been limited to a Governors’ conference and one day last week.
<
p>Instead it seems to me that the inmates at RMG are all working furiously and overtime to rationalize this Vice Presidential choice. They will have to justify it to one and all. If you’re going to work very hard at rationalization, snarky comments from the other side will sound deeply offensive.
<
p>I suspect that is why we have hurt Demolisher’s tender sensibilities.
Did he go out looking for someone who could actually win the Miss Buffalo Chip pageant?

“Fair and balanced” as it were. And tottaly in full context.

p>On the Palin topic, some BMGers comments have pushed the bounds of my taste and preference for substanitive discourse. Yet rather than give a full round up of BMG thought, it’s easier to just boil down the most sensationalistic excerpts, as evidence that the whole liberal left is comprised of a buch of sexist hypocrites.
<
p>But what do I care? It’s not like an accurate portrayal of BMG would change the open-minded readers of RMG’s beliefs at the quality of discourse over here.
