Mark your calendars for October 11-12th for the third annual HONK! Festival.
HONK! is an exciting and eclectic festival that features activist brass band musicians throughout Davis Square in Somerville, MA. This year, organizers are predicting as many as 350 musicians from all over the world will descend on Davis Square for the weekend!
We will kick off the festival in Ten Hills Park behind the T stop on Holland St at 11:30am on Oct 11th with the opening “Honk” of the festival.
There are many fun and amazing ways that friends and neighbors can participate.
Visit www.honkfest.org to see the details and learn how to host musicians in your home, participate with Bread and Puppet in Sunday’s parade, or volunteer throughout the weekend. You can also send an email directly to volunteer@honkfest.org.
HONK! is a great local event committed to social change and promoting the reclamation of public spaces.

The Honk! Festival is a wonderful event. I encourage anyone in the area to stop by Davis Square and attend at least some part of it.

p>The park behind the T stop is called Seven Hills Park. Ten Hills is a neighborhood way on the other side of the city, along the Mystic River near Assembly Square.
