If we’d actually been able to get our hands on Obama stuff we coulda made some money. (That’s another story) Next best thing was getting the names of a ton of people wanting stuff. More importantly was the 20-30 people who volunteered to help Barack.
I have never seen this level of enthusiasm and fervor for a Democrat out here. With these new people, the people we’ve recruited over the last few months, and working with our friends and neighbors in Walpole, we’ve got carpools going to NH, phone banks coming, and a whole lot of people looking to make it happen for Barack. We even have teenagers going to NH or making phone calls for Barack. We’ve never gotten kids involved before.
We even registered a couple new voters and got a handful of absentee ballot applications. Maybe even picked a few new DTC members.
Many thanks to Susan Bernstein and the rest of the MDTC crew, and to the kids who really seem energized and engaged this time around. And many thanks to our friends in Walpole for helping out. All for one, and all for Obama.
A final thanks to the Democratic candidates who joined us Senator Jim Timilty, State Rep. Lida Harkins, and Congressman Stephen Lynch.
(Thanks to Sarah Palincomparison for scaring the crap out of people, too.)
We have a fundraiser for Jim Timilty on Sept. 26th, followed by a Debate Watch Party. Come join us. Details on the web site www.medfielddemocrats.org.
The polls are breaking back towards Obama. Six more weeks of this kind of work, energy, and intensity and January 20th will be a beautiful day.

Good to hear! Even here in very blue Arlington and Lexington, where we normally get a lot of volunteers, we are blown away by how many people – many who have never done this before – are getting involved.
