So, I’ve voted. In Florida.

October 27, 2008 By Trickle up

He’s very clear on that, has considered all the pragmatic arguments to the contrary, and would definitely vote that way in critical Florida.

Except, he is just as happy to do that here in Massachusetts. Consequently, we will be acting as each other’s proxies this year.

(Not sure if the tense of that last sentence is exactly right, as I learned last night he has already cast my vote.)

Advantage Obama.

I just dropped my ballot into a designated drop box.  No swapping or friendly proxy voting for me – this was my ballot and my vote.
    President: Barack Obama
    Governor: Christine Gregoire
I-1000 Death with Dignity Initiative: YES

p>We also had an embarrassment of riches this cycle in my district in terms of judges to vote for.  If I have to vote for judges, let me please keep having to make the decision between the highly qualified arbiters of justice we had the honor to select from here.

I’ve heard less than wonderful things about her fight with Rossi.  Apparently the Seattle Times is in the tank for Dino, and he’s been doing well despite some sort of investigation.

as far as i know.  the latest poll has her up a few points, but for an incumbent who has done nothing wrong it is a very slim lead.  rossi will be in court over allegations of improper campaign coordination with the builders association (his reason for living), so that may have some effect on the outcome.  on the other hand, ballots were mailed out a week ago, and reaports are that upwards of 30% have voted early (me included).  so news events will have less and less chance of impacting the vote.  but i’ll still be phone banking for gregoire later this evening, since every vote counts in this race.

For my part, I haven’t had a chance to cast a vote that might matter in a national election since I left New Hampshire.
