It is time for WBZ RADIO AM 1030 to grow up. On Friday, the alleged AM news station reported the arrest of Boston talk show host Reese Hopkins on alleged rape charges.
The Alleged All News station gave all the details of Hopkins arrest and that he was a Boston talk radio host.
However, The Alleged All News Station refused to mention the radio station for which Reese Hopkins worked. The Alleged News Station, WBZ Radio, would only refer to Hopkins as working for “A local radio station.”
Grow up WBZ Radio. Treat your listeners like adults. The time for radio station to stop identifying other radio stations is long over.
They apparently think that if we hear the name of another radio station we will quickly change to that station. How stupid do the radio executives at WBZ Radio AM 1030 think we are ?
The problem with most radio stations is that their management is made up of radio time salesmen who major accomplishment in life is to see how drunk they can get at lunch and how many media buyers they can screw while on the job. WBZ Radio AM 1030 is no exception and that is why the executives at WBZ Radio AM 1030 have their heads up their ass or more likely someone elses and are incapable of treating their listeners like adults. Obviously, the drunken radio executives at WBZ Radio AM 1030 can only think of getting laid and not being true to journalism standards.
Grow up WBZ Radio and get your heads out of your asses !
That is, they did not want their audience to draw conclusions of guilt by association with the station, and so saw this as the professional way of handling it. Just a thought.
this is not how these idiot radio executive think since thinking is not something that comes easy to them.
No, these idiots are afraid that if you hear the Call Letters of another station on WBZ as in this news story the Call Letters of WRKO that WRKO is A.) getting a free plug B.) if you are keeping an Arbitron Rating Book you might write down WRKO instead of WBZ and 3.) Hearing the Call Letters of WRKO you may hit the button on your radio in the middle of the news item and turn to WRKO.
That’s how stupid most radio executives are. As mentioned before 99.9% of all radio executives come out of the sales department. That is all they know. They are smoozzers, alcoholics and have the sexual proclivities of rabbits in constant heat and will do anything to make the sales – morality be damned.
So, good positive thought on your part, but the only thing these creeps want to protect is their wallets and their ability to keep booze, smoozing and screwing.
this on radio — probably more than anything else — like getting stories straight. I just take it for granted that they consider it a cardinal sin to mention another stations call letters.

p>Funny this weekend (a minute is all I can stand) I listened to Michelle McPhee bemoaning the divisiveness of the current campaign. She btw is one of the biggest offenders when it comes to divisiveness and part of me was curious to hear if anyone called her on her hypocrisy. I couldnt make myself listen and switched to WBZ. I am thinking that they are the only news/talk station that isnt all day demagoguery.

p>Did you ever listen to Jay Diamond in his brief stint on rko?
