Hi All:
It seems as if the new thing for employers to call people who are desperate for work is “candidates”. How assinine! I am looking for work to provide for my family, not to aggrandize myself. They truly have some nerve to use this term, as I know what it is like to run for office.
It is nothing like looking for a job in the private sector. Prospective employees or applicants would be appropriate terms to use. It is not a game like politics, this is about a persons’ livelihood.
