Seriously — they are 20-2, and are on a twelve game winning streak. And they’re looking pretty good to extend that streak to 13 tonight, as they’re leading 63-39 over Washington at halftime.
OK, OK, they’re not (yet) close to the all-time winning-streak record of 33 games set by the Lakers in 1972, or even to Houston’s 22-game streak last season. But these guys are good.

They lost a little focus after they got the big lead, but now they’re up by close to 30 with only 6 minutes left.

p>The only teams that come close to them this year is Cleveland and the Lakers. But clearly the Celtics are still the team to beat.

but I wouldn’t use a 4-16 team as the comparative metric.

But they blow out the teams they need to (to get the starters rest) and also have their share of quality wins. Cleveland and Detroit have been among the victims…perhaps New Orleans tomorrow night?

p>By the way, I heard that Rondo is not even on the All-Star ballot? How can this be?
