Did you know that the state Senate Republicans have a blog? It’s called Scaling the Hill, and it’s apparently been around since September. First I heard of it was this article reporting that the House Republicans are planning to launch a similar venture in January.
I do love the fact that there are so few Senate Republicans that their group picture fits comfortably in the blog’s title! đŸ˜€ But seriously, folks, this is actually a good thing. We’ve already noted Senator Baddour’s transportation-focused blog, and here’s hoping that more legislators come around to the idea of engaging directly with their constituents (and others) via the internet.
Please share widely!
What about adding a State Government or Elected Official category to BMG’s blog roll?
A few close friends that are R’s. Who knew? I should have been more thorough in grade school when we met. Anyways, I use it to poke fun at them, the 5 guys standing there is a pathetic site. But I have gone there at times to read the counter proposal to issues. Guess what, there are none. Just complaining. It’s what I point out as well, if you want to be a party that gets votes you need to be more than disagreeing to everything. You need to make a solid argument as to why your solution is better. But alas solutions are nowhere to be found.
They’ve got a Minority Leader (Tisei), an Assistant Minority Leader (Tarr), a Minority Whip (Hedlund), and an Assistant Minority Whip (Brown). That leaves one poor guy (Knapik) to be whipped and led. I wonder if he has to choose between being the rank or the file.
