The Presidential Inaugural Committee has launched a new website for the National Day(s) of Service. All of the events in MA that were posted to that site have been posted to the new site, and this is where you and local volunteers should post all service projects form now on: www.usaservice.org

If you are going to Washington DC for the inauguration please complete this survey. Please forward this Survey to anyone that is going to Washington DC. MassForChange is compiling a list of people that are going to Washington DC

  1. Who here will be attending the Inauguration?  I will be in DC for the event, arriving later Monday and heading out Wednesday.  If there’s sufficient numbers we could meet up or something (I don’t know DC, so I’ll refrain from picking a time and place).

  2. I may be going, alhough the fact that the bridges are closed from Northern Virginia–where I will be staying– may make be stay home.  I heard a rumor that the Mass Dems are holding a reception in DC?  I cannot find any information about this.  Is there any truth to this rumor and how do I find out information about this?

    • The Mass. Dems are holding a big event in Boston, but clicking on “Washington DC” on the Inaugural link on the MassDems homepages just takes you to the Congressional Committee.  Nor do I see a Massachusetts link on the Washington Post’s rundown.  You may be thinking of the event in Boston.

      p>Given that the projected visitors figure is steadily lowering in DC, I am starting to suspect that the dynamic may be the same as in Boston during the Convention — they scared the hell out of everybody, so most people stayed home.
