Just received this post from my friend at right-click.com:
Sorry Obama-crats but the O-guy is not President of the U.S. Think I’m crazy? Check here, and here, and here.
Article II of the Constitution says that no one can be president unless they take a prescribed oath. The words are spelled out in one sentence. No modifications allowed. The 20th. Amendment to the Constitution says that this has to occur at noon on January 20th. Didn’t happen. The Constitution doesn’t provide for do-overs. It’s clear. Obama is not President.
How, you ask, could such a colossal screw-up happen? I’ve got the answer in 2 words: John Roberts. Being our go-to guy Roberts has now opened the way for a formal Supreme Court decision that Obama is not President and never was. All he needs is one more vote (probably John Paul Stevens, who rarely knows what day of the week it is) and it’s done. And the only reasonable remedy is to have a new election. One that won’t be stolen from us by massive voter fraud. And you can bet that at this swearing-in Roberts won’t make a mistake. And with our man in the White House, we can finally achieve the goal we have wanted for so many years-an order to exhume Vince Foster’s body.
They redid the oath yesterday, just to be sure.
is silly. Actually, “silly” is being kind.
But the unfortunate flub will be the font of an awful lot of hoo-hah from the fever swamp for the next few years.
I’d be more than happy to have them focusing on this garbage than organizing and effectively advancing an agenda.
<
p>Although, to add fuel to the fire, the constitution doesn’t say that the oath should be spoken in pieces, interrupted by the chief justice of the supreme court or anyone else. Perhaps the framers intended this as a memory test for incoming presidents, to ensure that they could remember the short sentence before taking office.
The 20th Amendment Section 1 says:
<

<
p>And Article 2 Section 1 says:
<

<
p>So the most you’ve got is that his execution of the office prior to the time he re-took the oath was invalid. Good luck with that one, and your campaign against the income tax đŸ˜‰
<
p>Next we’re going to hear that the oath was invalid because he didn’t say the words “(or affirm)”. I actually wouldn’t be surprised to hear that one from Chris Wallace at some point.
Having read a number of thoughtful, well-written diaries from Small Town Guy, I don’t believe he was agreeing with what he was quoting.
<
p>Either that, or I must beg you now to please remember who I am in case I ever quote Coulter or Limbaugh.
JohnD has almost the same number of letters as KBusch…
