The most likely is that she’s auditioning for Catch Me if You Can. In the unlikely event that is not the case, it has also been suggested that she is brokering a truce in the Seattle hip hop wars from an undisclosed location, getting stimulated by Obama’s packages, or…OR….OOORRR!!!…getting new business cards made up that say Commerce Secretary.

As it turns out, Gregoire is visiting troops in Iraq. Local bloggers are miffed at her spokesbot, who responded this way yesterday to a question regarding the gov’s disappearance.
That answer sure seems unnecessarily cloak and dagger now, doesn’t it? Either the spokesbot was herself totally in the dark about the governor’s doings, or she was covering all eventualities (travel to Iraq does often acquaint flesh with IED technology). Or, just to fan the faltering flame a little longer, one might say that a trip to Iraq does not preclude a big announcement on another subject. A sly commenter at the SLOG suggested that Obama will appoint her to the new cabinet post of Secretary of Iraq.
