Congressman Delahunt on February 4, nearly a week ago, submitted HR 130, expressing support for the appointment of George Mitchell and in general for Middle East peace process. It expresses concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as well as acknowledging the suffering on both sides of this ongoing conflict.

What are they waiting for? This is a very mild statement that’s been introduced by a member of their own delegation. I hope they’re not waiting to hear from the voters in Israel today to see if peace is something they should be supporting.

Markey or Tierney. They’re both chicken about anything that could be perceived as remotely controversial. In this case, could they be worried about offending the veteran’s vote? I wonder.
