That is what Salon has to say about the Republican Party in Massachusetts.  The article ranks states in the order of “love for GOP” as the introductory paragraph puts it, and MA is last on that list.  It also makes an uncited reference to the Governor’s high approval numbers, but I thought polls had shown his numbers quite low lately.

  1. On the “lost to us” list of “blue” states are states like Washington where the GOP is still a force to be reckoned with at the state level.  California, for example, has a republican governor and a solid enough block of repubs in the state legislature to kill the budget bill.

  2. Nor are there any obvious candidates, either for Patrick’s job or, should Sen. Ted Kennedy’s health force him from the Senate, for his seat.

    p>No obvious (R) candidates for Deval’s seat?  Okay, I get that Salon isn’t going to go in-depth considering there are Fifty states, but if this is the case, they shouldn’t just…well..guess?
