I am particularly intrigued by the Kennedy presidency. To me, his presidency, from the beginning to the horrific end, changed our country forever, unlike any other event in our history except maybe 9/11.
In spite of the tragic end, the beginning of the Kennedy presidency reminds me of the happiness in a simpler time and helps to briefly forget about the nonsense that is our government today.

In 1961, there were only 5 television stations, no VCR’s, no DVD players, no cell phones, computers, internet, and significantly fewer cars on the road (only one car per family). The population of Massachusetts has increased by approximately 1,349,389 people since then. That’s a lot of people for a relatively small state. It does seem a little more crowded than I remember it. : )
