Maybe we could have separate list, like we do for events, where progressive job openings in MA could be posted.

if there could be an open thread always running for quick comments and updates on previous threads, or so a comment could be added that is off topic to what is currently on the front page. That way if someone wants to provide an update, or give an FYI about something, it could be put on the open thread that is always available, and maybe link back to the thread it pertains to. You could call it the “latest news, updates and FYI” thread.

If you allow this now, then when the Economy gets better the site will be flooded by this stuff.
and rules are made to be broken…so why not allow the postings of job openings during this time of crisis? How about putting them in a certain section, so they’re not all over the place? Any port in a storm, I say. You can always reinstitute the rules later…you know, when the economy gets better.

But you really don’t want to pollute the main site with job listings. Even in this job market there are hundreds of job openings and recruiters who make their money from commissions will not hesitate to spam forum they are allowed to post on.
