WTKK’S JAY SEVERIN – S U S P E N D E D

Heard Emily Rooney say tonight on Greater Boston that one of her topics for Friday Night’s “Beat The Press” segment would be the suspension of Jay Severin from WTKK 96.9.

Anyone know the reason?

Did this KKK freak stop taking his meds.

Heard him frothing at the mouth about President Obama yesterday. Did he finally call the President the “N” word.

Or did someone finally “OUT” Jay Severin from his closet?

Just read that a Hispanic group suceeded in having Severin severed from WTKK because among other things he said was that all Mexicans do is bring venereal disease into the country … this from the talk-freak digenerate who has mentioned on more than one time that he has contracted various STD’s… Didn’t know there was enough room in a closet to get STD’s??? hmmmmm?

    Jay Severin, the fiery, right-wing radio talk show host on Boston’s WTKK-FM radio station, was suspended today after calling Mexican immigrants “criminaliens,” “primitives,” “leeches,” and “women with mustaches and VD,” among other incendiary comments.

    Heidi Raphael, a spokeswoman for the station, said Severin had been suspended indefinitely from his afternoon drive-time show. She declined to say which of his comments – made since an outbreak of swine flu was linked to Mexico in recent days – sparked the suspension.

    “I can assure you that the station has not been using the remarks for which he has been suspended in on-air promos,” she said, declining to comment further.

  5. He gets “suspended” for a few days, then figures out how to say other crazy racist things without “crossing the line”, but so that now people will know exactly what he wants to say even though he’s “restraining” himself. Uh huh.

      p>If you’ve ever listened to Jay you know that he’s constantly telling his listeners how smart they are (his tag line is “hello, best and brightest.”).  Part of his schtick is a litany of things it’s “not racist” to say (“people may call me racist, but I’m just putting this out there”).  Which is to say he walks a very fine line, but is mostly 1) feeding his base and 2) being outrageous for ratings.

      • in the other thread started later by someone else on Severin – Severin is Boston’s first victim of the Swine Flu Epidemic. In Severin’s case it was self-inflicted !

    • thousands and thousands of people right here in BLUE MA who love Jay. I think he’ll be back and I think he’ll be even more popular from this stunt. WTKK has to show concern for people complaining but they also have bills to pay and Jay brings in the money.
