OFA Grassroots Organizing Forum in Boston (Massachusetts for Obama)

The OFA forum is really shaping up. In addition to Mitch Stewart, OFA’s national director, I hear David Cutler is speaking–he was Obama’s senior healthcare advisor during the campaign and is now a key advisor as Sen. Kennedy crafts his much-anticipated healthcare reform bill. And, Rep. Markey’s office will be there to present on his closely-watched climate bill. In addition, prominent organizing and civic engagement people will serve as panelists–including Marshall Ganz from the Kennedy School–he was the architect of "Camp Obama."
With an appearance by Jeff Blodgett, Executive Director of Wellstone Action. The panels and issue presentations promise to be interesting, and this is the very first OFA statewide event–a sign that the Mass. Obama volunteers are committed to keeping this stuff going. OFA has just included the event in its "National Listening Tour," so there will be breakouts to provide input into the direction of OFA nationally and in Mass.
