TUESDAY, MAY 19TH
- 12:00pm – Clergy Leaders from Interfaith Community Improvement Organizations from cities across the state stand together for the new revenues needed to possibly restore some of the massive budget cuts in the Senate Ways and Means Budget proposal. [Location TBA]
- 6:00pm – Lowell Rally to Prevent Gang Violence
Lowell organizations and officials will rally to show determination to continue to act to prevent gang violence in the wake of the recent killing of a bystander in a gang dispute–and to show support for restoration of the Shannon Anti-Gang Violence program, the DPH Youth Violence Prevention Program, the YouthWorks Teen Jobs Program and the School to Career Connecting Activities Teens Jobs program that all help Lowell and other communities on this issue.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 20TH
- 3:00 – Youth Lobby Day.
A coalition of statewide youth groups will be heading to the State House to rally in support of youth and jobs programs that can be supported by Local Options taxes.
