The past few days have been overwhelmingly focused on honoring and remembering Senator Kennedy. Many have asked how they can DO something to honor him so I wanted to let you know about a way for you to participate in the celebration of our Senator and his remarkable life and career.
We’d urge you to share your memories or thoughts about Senator Kennedy in a Book of Condolences which we will collect, bind and deliver to the Kennedy family. All details are available at MassDems.org
You can participate right online or even better you can download and print a condolence page, ask your family, friends and neighbors to sign – or even go to the local coffee shop or post office (where is the best place to collect signatures in your community?) and ask folks to be part of it.

Late this afternoon the motorcade will depart from the US Capitol (I think I heard 3:30PM.) and travel primarily down Constitution Avenue to Arlington Cemetery via Memorial Bridge. The public is welcome to line the route, but the ceremony itself is private.

I will be at the Tatnuck Bookseller coffee shop from 4 PM to 5:30 PM Saturday with pages for people to sign for the Democratic Party condolence book. It is on Lyman Street just south of Route 9.

R. I. P., Senator Kennedy. You did tons of good, and you are missed.

Walked up to the Columbia Circle rotary, and stood w/about 50 others of all ages in the rain for an hour … anchored by the good old SEIU, as is so often the case. Family members, most emphatically Vicki, waved and mouthed thanks from the windows of buses and cars.

p>In general was impressed by the way the Kennedy family handled their public-ness around this event. They embraced it in a way I don’t think they’ve been able to for a while, but wore it lightly and with respect.
