See also:  blog by one of those retirees who moved to Mexico for that insurance   Mexico for health insurance  Why do they do it?  Because no one should die or have to declare bankruptcy to get health care – so some avail themselves of Mexico’s public option, and retire where they can afford to stay alive and get healthcare.

      p>You should be stunned and appalled that some Americans are driven to leave their country because on a retirement income, they cannot afford health insurance equal to Mexico’s and be able to stay and live in America aka “the USA”.

      p>Only foreign retirees, not foreigners in general, are eligible, if you noticed.  Maybe the hard currency of those foreign retirees is beneficial to Mexico, some kind of tradeoff?
